We stopped at the painted desert on our way to the grand canyon. It was beautiful and we hiked around for a little bit but I was disapppointed because I thought we were going to the petrified forest. apparently that is farther away.
After that we had a drawing contest in the car. Mom and Dad refused to pick a winner so I hope you will vote in the comments. Mine is a picture of the tornado. Molly drew Meow Wolf
Our first night at grand canyon was not the best. Molly thought it was just a hole in the ground and we were all crabby. At least we got ice cream.

We went to the Petrified Forest — you really didn’t miss much, honestly! The Painted Desert was a MUCH prettier place. If I remember correctly, our family of four had a very cranky day right around Grand Canyon time as well!! Maybe it is something in the air?! LOL
